Besides other functional departments, there are three production departments in the Company, i.e., wire and cable, computer assembly and molding and wire harness. with a total workforce in excess of 300 working on a two shift system, the Company produces a wide range of high quality cables, accessories and components to satisfy its customers world-wide for different applications. Starting at its origin in Taiwan and continuing in Thailand, quality promotion and cost reduction are taken as the Company's ultimate goals although it willl never "sacrifice" quality in its attempt to achieve economy. With consistent efforts from all its staff and workers for almost five years, the Company's products can meet most international standards' specifications (e.g., American National Electrical Code) and have been certified by internationally recognized verification/ certification organizations, such as UL(U.S.A.), ETL(U.S.A.), CSA(CANADA), and F MARK(JAPAN). Taking quality as HOSIWELL's life and future, the Company has been achieving a great success in marketing development. Nowadays, the Company's products have been exported world-wide, mostly to American and European markets, with an excellent quality reputation.

To further improve its quality management system, the Company is currently committing to the implementation of ISO 9002: 1994 quality system program, which will finally lead to not only an internationally recognized registration and certification to ISO 9002, but the establishment of well-structured quality management system as well.

Wiring within buildings. Single and multiconductor cables of class 2 and class 3 circuit installed as wiring within building shall be type CL2,CL3 listed as being resistant to the spread of fire. This listing requirement for type CL2 and CL3 cable become effective July 1,1988.

One method of defining resistant to the spread of the fire is that the cables do not spread fire to the top of the tray in the vertical tray flame test in UL-1581 paragraph 1160. The energy output of the burner in the VW-1 flame test is 3000 BTU/hr as compared to the 10,000 BTU/hr of the CL2 vertical tray flame test. The necessary samples were submitted to UL and authorization to UL list, HOSIWELL CABLES was received in 1990 under our file No. E125840 Type CL2, CL3 power limited circuit cable and E135928type CM communication cable.

After July 1.1988, the code made it mandatory that all cable installed with A building bear the UL symbol (UL) or UL permanently embossed in the cable jacket, in this way a building inspector can readily determined a cable is UL listed and complies with the national electrical code before authorizing its installation within the building.
